• Civil Coordination: Work closely with the Civil Engineering team to ensure MEP "sleeves" and conduits are placed correctly before concrete pouring.
• Sub-contractor Management: Oversee MEP sub-contractors, ensuring they deploy adequate manpower and follow the project timeline.
2. Technical Review & Compliance
• Drawing Review: Review Shop Drawings, As-Built drawings, and Material Submittals to ensure they align with the master architectural plan.
• Standards Adherence: Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, fire department regulations, and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, or NEC).
• RFI Management: Raise and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve any design discrepancies found on-site.
3. Quality Control & Testing
• Inspection: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality and material usage are as per the contract.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing of systems (e.g., hydro-testing for pipes, pressure testing for HVAC, and insulation resistance tests for electricals) before handover.
• Snag Listing: Identify defects and manage the "snag list" to ensure every system is 100% functional before project completion.
4. Progress Reporting & Material Estimation
• Quantity Surveying: Verify the quantities of MEP materials consumed on-site and certify sub-contractor bills.
• Daily/Weekly Reports: Provide detailed progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting any delays or technical bottlenecks.
